MusicMount tool version 1.5 has been released today
and it comes with a graphical user interface! Just double-click the
file in the distribution directory to start the UI.
It’s never been easier!
The UI does not support remote folder URLs (CIFS/WebDAV), otherwise it provides the same functionality as the command line interface. Remember, the tool requires Java 7 or later (Java 8 is recommended for the UI) installed.
You are a Mac user and don’t want to install Java? There’s now an “unofficial” Mac application (DMG installer, ~80MB download, includes Java Runtime, requires Mac OS 10.7.4 or later).
MusicMount provides an API and tools to access your music from your mobile devices.
There's also a "live" command to quickly launch a server without generating a static site. This is the easiest way to get things going, to temporarily mount music from iTunes, stored on a thumb drive, etc.
No complex protocols, no media server setup, no dependencies, no vendor lock.Read More...
MusicMount for iOS is available on the App Store.
